Antique petite hand painted toothpick holder by Hutschenreuther Selb Bavaria. Hand signed by the artist and dated 1913. Marked with the first mark, JHR in circle in green, which was used between 1857 - 1920. Dogwood blossoms, branches and leaves encircle the base and the top rim has a narrow gold band at rim. Height: 1 13/16” Diameter at rim: 1 3/4” Diameter at base: 1 5/8” Artist signature is difficult to read, appears to be R.G. R—st. Charming error in marking date, as it is dated 1912 and the 2 is overwritten to read 1913. Pretty early piece, no chips no cracks. Carefully packed, promptly shipped.
