1883 Puck Magazine cover cartoon "The Feuds of the Dudes" by Frederick Opper - $7 - (Cambridge, WI)

This is the cover cartoon from the May 30, 1883 edition of the satirical Puck magazine. It is entitled "The Feuds of the Dudes: Let Them Hire 'Sluggers' to Protect Them," and is by Frederick Opper. It shows two men in fancy dress who have brought along their "sluggers" (each with boxing gloves and one wearing a Champion Belt) along for protection. In the background is a building with a "Money Goes" slogan on it. Great historical memorabilia.
