CLARK GABLE – RED DUST – OVERSIZE – 11 x 14 – 1960s REPRO PHOTO – NEAR MINT - $20 - (South Berwick, ME)

DESCRIPTION and CONDITION: This is an 11” x 14” black and white matte photo on a heavy photographic paper of Clark Gable from "Red Dust". We were told this is a reproduction photo from 1960s. FRONT: This photo is in NEAR MINT (A-) condition (see our rating system below). There is edge wear, corner bends and creases at all 4 corners and edges, mostly in the white margins. There are the most minor creases within the photo. You would have to tilt the photo to see them. The images shown were photographed with a digital camera and not scanned. This image was most likely reproduced from material from the original large format camera as the image is very sharp and clear. The image is reproduced "full frame" without any cropping. There are inscribed numbers, "634X24" that appear in the right hand corner. The paper has not yellowed, nor has the photo faded. If you tilt the photo, you will see vertical residue on the surface from the wet developing process vs. today's dry digital ink. BACK: The back of the photo has light pencil writing in the upper left hand corner. There is pencil writing of numbers in the center of the photo. There is some yellowing at the bottom. This happened most likely when reproduced. None of this shows through the front of the photo. ***Please do not hesitate to ask any questions prior to purchase.*** This item is being sold "As Is."
