Spring SouSou! It's a Free Children's Library: Bring a Book - Take a Book! SouSou Saturdays are monthly family-oriented art-making, dance, and music workshops held every 2nd Saturday of the month at the Caribbean Cultural Center African Diaspora Institute. Families, let’s welcome spring together at CCCADI! Come pick out some cool literature, hear great storytelling & music, and make a gift of art for yourself inspired by 1 of our community’s best talents. Day Sessions | 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Activities for families with children ages 4-11) CHILDREN’S AUTHOR READ-A-LOUD - 1st Floor Carousel Join author, Eric Velasquez reading from his wonderful book, Grandma’s Records. Hear the beautiful story of a young boy, who was introduced by his grandmother to such musical traditions as Bomba, Salsa, and Merengue, and to those great musicians from our Harlem community! *The 1st 20 Families will have an opportunity to purchase the author’s book on site. TIMES: 12:30 PM -1:00 PM FUN ART-MAKING STATION!
