1963 New York Yankees Team Signed Mickey Mantle Get Well Card from The Gene Kirby Collection. PERSONALLY OWNED BY MANTLE! This "Get Well" card was delivered to the legendary center fielder after he broke his foot chasing a Brooks Robinson home run on June 5, 1963. He'd play just sixty-five games in 1963 as a result, the only season other than his first in which he failed to reach triple-digits. Some dodgers even signed the card when visiting Mantle. Thirty-six signatures average a consistent 9/10 and include Roger Maris, "Slick" Ford, Yogi Berra, Pee Wee Reese, Ralph Terry, Tony Kubek, Bobby Richardson, Joe Pepitone, Elston Howard, Jim Bouton and even legendary clubhouse man Pete Sheehy. Single, unlined page measures 8.5x14" and exhibits tape stains at the edges from display, presumably in Mantle's hospital room, otherwise no faults of consequence.
