Genuine antique map "Carte des Etats-Unis et du Territoire Missouri..." by J.G. Heck, 1834. Nicely detailed antique map of the United States at the time, to include to the west much of the large then Missouri Territory, the Territory of Arkansas and part of 'Indiens Kaskassias' region, then part of Mexico. To the north Wisconsin is named with sub-title 'Ou Territoire Nord Quest. In typical fashion Heck fills the map with great detail of rivers, cities and topography. Several Indian regions noted in the west. The map is dated 1830 in the title. Original hand color outlines the states and territories. Published in Paris. Full margins, sturdy paper. Margins with significant foxing and stains but the image is clean. Measures 7 3/4"x 12 3/4". NOT A REPRODUCTION. All of our items are genuine antiques as described.
