Castelin-Peirano French Nativity santon #2 or #3 woman with garlic and umbrella - $20 - (Southern Pines, NC)

Jean-Louis Castelin-Peirano was a renowned santon maker who ceased production 12/31/2013. His santons are a bit taller than the #2 Carbonel ones, with this woman not quite 3 inches tall. They are highly detailed, with the santons having a darker complexion than the other santon makers and a glossier finish. I have one other Castelin-Peirano santon, a man with two baskets, fish, and sausages.I think that they are extremely well made and painted. I try to include a number of views, so please see pictures for details of condition. All of my other santons are the #2 series, in which the tallest figure is 7 cm (2 and 3/4ths inches), with the other figures in proportion. I have been collecting santons for 30-35 years and will be selling my entire collection of many santons and animals.
