It bears the green underglaze makers mark featuring the British Royal Coat of Arms with Imperial Stone China written in script; and the pattern number is 5053. John Ridgeway succeeded J & W Ridgway, where they were located in Shelton Hanley, Staffordshire England. They were makers of fine porcelain and earthenware from 1830 through 1941.
