This helmet was used during the period of World War 11 in Portland Oregon. The Boiler Makers Local Union 72 in Portland still exists today. The local 72 were shipbuilders and over 1000 ships were built in Portland from 1941 to 1942, including the SS Star of Oregon. The helmet is in nice vintage collectible condition. It has some wear from use and age. The insert leather has some cracking. There are 3 Union 72 pin backs attached to this helmet, as shown. Please look at photos closely before bidding.
