precision spin top / tungsten over aluminum - $49 - (Alamosa, CO)

Here is a precision spin top that I handcrafted from tungsten carbide and 7075 aluminum. The contact point is an 1/8" Si3N4 ceramic ball. This top is well balanced and spins smoothly. I only timed one spin and it went 11.25 on a concave mirror. Spin times will vary from person to person, depending on your technique and level of experience. The diameter is 3/4" (the diameter of a US penny) ,it is about 7/8" tall and it weighs 21 grams. A black velvet carry bag is included.
