Carl Thieme Dresden Porcelain Oil Lamp - $380 - (Jefferson City, MO)

This is a large oil lamp from the Saxon Porcelain Manufactory in Potschappel Saxony Germany that was established by Carl Thieme in 1872. The lamp carries all of the beautiful Dresden decorative elements. There is beautiful hand painted florals, raised florals and pierced work. The lamp is 25" tall to the top of the font. It has been converted to electric and the cord, socket and harp all look fairly new. I don't see any damage but the area between the font and the stem has been thinly filled with what appears to be plaster of paris perhaps to cushion it. Anyway, if you look at the picture, you can see some of it has fallen out. Other than that, the lamp is in excellent condition.Wonder Lister - The Ultimate eBay Listing Tool
