The manufacturer of the pin is stamped on the reverse of the fob: Bastian & Ros. Co, Rochester, NY. The entire pin, including the fob, ribbon and pin back ID section, measures approximately 3.5" in length. The bottom (fob) measures approximately 1.5" x 1.25". The design of the pin is dominated by a large "V" (for Victory) and the Morse Code sign for that letter(... - / dot, dot, dot, dash). These symbols were widely used in the United States during WWII and were shorthand for patriotism. The convention was held in Duluth, Minnesota (in the region of that State known as "the Arrowhead"). The pin shows the outline of the State. At the bottom is the affiliation of the owner of the pin, whose name appears in the pin back section over the ribbon: Auxiliary 40 ET 8/ Dept of/ Minnesota/ Aug. 2-5, 1942. Please see our photos.
