Highland Lakes Indigent Defense Workshop - N.A. - (Marble Falls, TX)

On January sixth, 2017, the Commission will hold the Highland Lakes Indigent Defense Workshop in Marble Falls. The event is co-sponsored by the Texas Justice Court Training Center. Topics include: Duties of Magistrates at Article 15.17 Hearings and Capias Pro Fine Issues, Challenges to Implementing Fair Defense Act Requirements, and the Importance of the Early Assignment of Counsel. Judges, court staff, public defenders, and attorneys who take court-appointed cases are invited to attend. 2.25 hours of Continuing Education Credit is being sought for attendees. ***IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT LOCATION - It is on 281 South of the river about one half mile. ***
