VINTAGE CHILD'S SIZE RUFFLED VOILE PARASOL W/PAINTED PINK WOODEN HANDLE c1930's - $20 - (Macon, GA)

Please scroll down under this description for additional views. Please email with any questions. Circa 1930's parasol, 17" long wooden shaft with handle and tip painted bright pink. The canopy is 21" diameter when opened and is made of a pale aqua voile with a ruffled edge and ruffled collar around the tip. There's a metal ring that floats on the shaft for securing the tips of the ribs when the parasol is closed. This was made in Japan and may well have been a carnival game prize or an amusement park souvenir. The fabric is fragile and ther are some small tears on the canopy and some damage at the top under the ruffle. The pink paint is original and does show some scratches that expose the gesso underneath.
