This is the front full color page with the incredible wonderful and very strange SUBMARINE CIRCUS, a look under the ocean by 'Our Special Deep-Sea Artist' featured IN A FULL PAGE PANORAMA, the back page is black and white regular newspaper text Broadsheet around 22" by 16". AS RARE AS IT GETS for the serious vintage comic collector, and scholar of newspaper comic history. Pages like this highly sought after, nowadays. Collectors who own rarely sell these rare pioneering pages & the rest are mainly in institution collections. This is a quite marvellous strange large panorama page, the top of the ocean with boats, walruses commenting, polar bears, then the underwater circus with clowns, mermaids, hippos, lobsters selling lemonade, Mermen smoking, chatting up mermaids, sea horses being ridden and jumping over gates, sea-dogs, monkey sea urchins, octopus jugglers, typical of the wild and wacky comic humor of the times.
