1930s Herter's Hen Mallard Decoy w/ Printed Canvas or Cloth over Cork Metal Edge - $135 - (Grand Rapids, MN)

Up for sale is a wonderful old Herter's working hen mallard duck decoy from the 1930's. This rather large decoy measures about 14 1/4" long x 6" wide and features the following:The cork body is covered with a lightweight canvas or cloth that has been printed with feather detail and is stretched tight over the body. The carved wooden head has deeply carved nostrils, carved cheek outline and it has glass eyes. The flat bottom is edged with a metal strip and is missing its weight or keel.This decoy is in very good, used condition--there are a couple of holes worn through the material (see photos) There is a name "Hoffman" painted across the bottom--I believe it would be the owner's name.
