As the Philadelphia Mint began production of the new Saint-Gaudens design in 1907, the San Francisco Mint only coined Liberty twenties, with production topping the 2 million-coin mark. Despite that large mintage, few collectors can enjoy ownership of a Gem example. This near-Gem ranks near the top of the population charts. Marks are scattered and predominantly in the fields. Both sides have wispy pink toning over brilliant and frosty yellow surfaces with sharp central design motifs. NGC census report [314/19]. This date is very difficult to find in MS-65.
