2 vintage but unused embroidered runners: 4" lace border, linen w hand x-stitch - $10 - (Newark, DE)

I buy vintage linens at local estate auctions to pass them along to you. At a recent auction I found some great vintage table linens, and this set is one of them. These are two vintage but unused table runners. They have linen centers surrounded by 4" borders of lace, and are a cream color. I believe these were sold as kits as a base for hand embroidery; each has been embroidered with hand-done cross stitch. The larger one measures 44" long by 18" wide with a linen center 36 by 8," and has geometric designs worked in turquoise and blues. The smaller one measures 36" long by 15.75" wide, with a linen center 28x8." This one has embroidered flowers in yellow and orange with green. Please use the zoom function to examine the great details. I included a closeup of the back of the embroidery so you can see it is hand done. These are in great condition. The linen is still smooth with its original sizing, and there are no holes, stains, rips, or funky odors. The embroidery is bright and colorful. My guess is that these were put away 'for good' after they were worked. Such a time capsule! I am storing this in my smoke-free home, but I do have a cat who sheds copiously, so be aware if you have allergies. Please contact me for more information or photos.
