This is a small, portable hammer dulcimer perfect for beginners or players who travel with their instruments. It spans 2 1/2 octaves with 13 treble courses and 12 bass courses. It is made with a laminated top (5 ply Birch) and back, maple pin blocks, and walnut rails and bridges. It has both black and white tuning pins to ease identification in tuning. The back has a handhold and a dowel hole, which you can use t prop the instrument up on a table. I acquired this dulcimer some years ago, and I have never used it. I am selling it will all the necessary things for a beginner as a complete package! The books that this comes with are used and the case is a little dusty, but the dulcimer is basically new.
