This is the Original (1sh) Lobby Card LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT. It was used by MGM to promote this movie when it was released in 1927. It is not a reprint nor a reproduction. The movie stars Lon Chaney, Marceline Day, Henry B. Walthall, Percy Williams, Conrad Nagel, Polly Moran, Edna Tichenor, and Claude King. LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT was directed by Tod Browning. This partially restored movie Lobby Card measures 11" x 14". It comes with an unattached stiff cardboard backing. This original movie Lobby Card is graded C8, Very Fine. Original movie Lobby Cards are graded as follows from the top down: C10 (Mint), C9 (Near Mint), C8 (Very Fine), C7 (Fine/Very Fine), C6 (Fine or Very Good), C5 (Good to Very Good), C4 (Good), etc. Prior to restoration, the Lobby Card was graded a C7, Fine/Very Fine. Restoration has corrected some wear in the corners and a bend on the bottom right. The Lobby Card has a superb appearance and is immediately ready to be framed and displayed. The flaws that exist - such as the several very tiny dots (1/32") and a very faint smudge - are unobtrusive at a viewing distance and must be seen through close inspection in moderate light.
