I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER! This was NOT shipped or sold from Microsoft, it was shipped directly from IBM as part of the IBM Employee purchase program in 1981 where senior IBM Staff were able to buy PC's as they were first launched.This item has not been tested, because we no longer own a 5.25 inch floppy drive, but it has very little use or wear because we made a copy right away after the original purchase. (In 1981, dual-floppy drives were a luxury, but we did the upgrade because of the Employee pricing.) It has always been carefully stored in its jacket in a climate-controlled home.
