Brass name plate only : Hewetson, Milner & Thexton Ltd. House Furnishers202, 203, 204, 211, 212, 214, 215 Tottenham Ct. Road London. W. Came from the secretary photo'd herewith. The piece had been extensively repaired over the years and was needing much more / beyond repair when I found it roadside....so I savaged parts including period pulls, locks and other hardware all to be listed shortly. I also saved the interior pigeon holes seen in photo. If interested, please advise. Looking over the internet I find a few pieces made by this group...all seem to have sold at high end auctions etc. Also a tag identical to this is / was for sale by seller in England for about $125 The secretary looks to date from first half 19th century
