For sale: A fine Sheraton Chest of Drawers, circa 1825, probably New England.Mahogany and mahogany veneer, pine secondary wood, having an arched scroll backsplash above a pair of glove drawers over four drawers all with original brasses, Flanked by front rope turned pilaster on turned feet with strong cookie corners both over the pilasters and flanking the glove drawers. The brass rosettes on backsplash ears are missing. This chest has an aveage amout of repairs, commensurate with its age. Size: The main chest is 39 3/4" high by 36 3/4" wide by 19" deep. The glove drawers and the backsplash add another 9 1/4" to the height and the cookie corners another 4" to the front width.
