An antique violin in a wooden case with flat black paint. I believe this is a student ¾ size violin. The violin measures 21? long, 7?wide and 3? deep. The paper label inside reads ? Copy of Josef Guarnerius, Made in Austria ?. The neck has appropriate wear on the back where the violin was held. The neck is scrolled and the chin rest, bridge, strings and tuners are all present.The finish appears to be original with some wear and light scratches. The back looks like figured maple and both the back and top are not cracked. The top has scrolled F holes. The violin fits nicely in the antique wooden coffin case. The case has a wire handle and simple hook clasp and black paint. The case measures 27? long, 8 1/2? wide and 5? deep. The interior of the case is lined with maroon felt and gray paper.
