For sale is an 1873 Liberty Seated Quarter Closed 3 Graded AU55 by NGC. The 1873 Closed 3, No Arrows quarter had a small mintage of 40,000 coins and is scarce in all grades. This rare Choice AU example displays bright, partially lustrous surfaces with pleasing detail. Uncirculated examples of this issue are extremely rare and often show unsightly abrasions. This is the only coin graded AU55 by NGC and NGC and PCGS have combined to certify only 9 coins total in finer grades.
