Original oil on canvas, 22" X 28", signed and dated lower right: "Nicola D'Ascenzo/1904" and inscribed on verso: "Painted at Mt Pocono PA/By Nicola d'Ascenzo/1904-" Framed size: 24" X 30" in original arts and crafts frame. The Philadelphia artist studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and the Philadelphia Museum School of Industrial Arts. He ran a stained glass studio which designed important windows for churches and buildings along the East Coast. This is a rare painting of Mt. Pocono, PA when it was a sleepy resort town for New Yorkers and Philadelphians. Excellent Condition.
