A Rockport Street Scene Large Original Betty Lou Schlemm Watercolor – A Rockport Street Scene Offered here is an original Schlemm watercolor of a street in Rockport , with figures walking along the tree lined street. The work is clean and restful on the eye, yet very strong and colorful. Schlemm captures the architectural detail accurately and effortlessly. The artist said that it won a prize at an earlier exhibit. I don't have the reference but, given the quality, I don't doubt it. It is single matted under glass and very nicely framed. It’s a large work – 21 by 29 inch sight and 31 by 39 inch framed. Both painting and frame are in excellent condition. Schlemm’s larger watercolors have sold in the thousands. We sold two from our collection at $3500 and $4000 over 20 years ago. This is the same size as those and we are listing it well below current gallery prices. Shipment cost will vary with location.
