Extremly Rare 1st Edition of a Reconnaissance of the Black Hills of Dakota - $1,500 - (Lead, SD)

Hello, Offered is an extremely rare 1st edition of Captain William Ludlow 7th Cavaly's report of the Black Hills expedition in the summer of 1874 . There were only 2500 copies printed of which very few remain today, This copy is in extremly nice condition and still retains all 3 of its maps which is very unusual because most were removed and sold as they bring over a thousand dollars per map. This edition is all together. It has a few pages with library tape on the maps versos from unfolding. nothing that detracts from the extreme rarity of this 1875 edition. It has a period dedication in the center of the front page which appears to be to a Tom C kingman and a later dedication to a cavalry officer dated 1930 at the top of the page, I cant make out the hand writing of that name.
