Manhattan (2014 - 2015 WGN) Screen used 1940 De Soto Deluxe - $8,500 - (Vista, CA)
For sale is a complete, running 1940 De Soto Deluxe 4 door sedan that was used extensively on screen in the TV series Manhattan. It was purchased from the studio and picked up by me from the set in New Mexico. It is an older restoration with good paint (with the exception of a dent on the driver's side rear fender caused by one of the actors learning to drive a stick) and no rust that I could find, very good interior (with exception of the front carpet that was worn on the driver's side and chipped paint on the interior window frames from carrying cameras in and out of the car). The only original parts missing are the glove box door latch, the beauty rings and the original rear license plate bracket. The chrome is pretty straight but needs the bumpers re-plated. Glass is good. The engine purrs like new and the transmission and brakes work great. It is currently not registered in any state. This car is being sold as a prop only and does not come with any type of warranty. It is being sold with a New Mexico title from Atom Productions (a division of Lionsgate Television), a bill of sale and a certificate of authenticity from Lionsgate. It is priced right for the value of the car not including the provenance. The buyer will be responsible for the pick up or transport within 2 weeks of purchase. I can also provide pictures of the car taken on set when I picked it up and dvd copies of the TV series. The vehicle is located in Southern California.
