Rare and important exterior door latch from the Harold Corbin collection. This latch was found in Middletown CT and was in the Corbin collection for many years. It is one of the finest 18th century exterior door latches in existence. It measures 21" in length, and 4-1/4" wide. This sale incudes the latch, the catalog from the Corbin sale from 1989 and the wooden barnboard display it is pictured on. This has been in my private collection for 20+ years.
