WONDERFUL COLORFUL VINTAGE PLUSH STEIFF RIDE-ON LADYBUG - $145 - (Parsonsfield, ME)

Great whimsical Steiff ride-on toy in the shape of a cheerful, friendly ladybug. The Steiff Company is best known for it's wonderful teddy bears, but they also have produced a fabulous line of plush ride-ons, from dogs to elephants/ This toy dates to probably the 1940's. Found in Chatham, on Cape Cod in a three generation estate. Ladybug measures about 20" x 15". Obviously has been used and loved- some chipping to the paint on the frame, one wheel worn down a bit, and some fading and wear to the plush. No damage, however; no rips, bends, holes, or tears. This critter has GREAT character!
