Limoges Laviolette Platter c. 1896-1905 Vibrant Colors MINT Large 12 1/2" RARE - $150 - (Lumpkin, GA)

ESTATE SALE Up for your consideration is a beautiful Laviolette Limoges platter. This platter has a white background with pink and yellow flowers. It has gold around the edges which are embossed. The gold is rubbed all around, so I think it is supposed to be this way. The colors are very bright and vibrant. This platter measures about 12 1/2". It is deeper than most platters, so small items are less likely to roll off. The platter has the green makers mark "LIMOGES FRANCE" WITH A LEFT POINTING ARROW. This mark is Laviolette Limoges. It is an underglaze mark found on white ware made by Laviolette from 1896-1905, so it is RARE. This platter has holes in the back for hanging. It was found in this estate with the wire attached.
