Early 20th century Kain Limar from Palembang, South Sumatra, Indonesia. Silk, gold thread, natural dyes, weft ikat, supplementary weft weave. This pristine museum quality textile has never been folded or used in any ceremony. Always rolled on a tube with acid free paper and comes from a pet/smoke free collection. The gold thread is absolutely brilliant and this textile has no faults, defects or blemishes of any kind. There are three very tiny pinholes in the main field which are almost invisible and do not detract in any way from this masterpiece.  I personally guarantee this to be one of the finest examples ever offered anywhere.  Serious offers will be considered.
