VINTAGE 196X FLORIDA PORTABLE TYPEWRITER W/ CASE MADE IN SPAIN MINT! - $200 - (Atlantic, IA)
This awesome typewriter is a Florida prior to 1962ish according to the typewriter database. Florida was renamed Amaya, and 1965 the company was renamed Industrial Mecanografica, S.A. or IMESA. The Florida is an Amaya exported to the United States in small numbers, It has a plastic body but solid and reliable metal mechanism. This typewriter appears only to have been used a handful of times and appears to be a time capsule and in outstanding vintage condition. I see no serial# Maybe I don't know where to look??? The typewriter becomes portable and comes with its own top to snap tightly on the machine. The top has some marks on it. Zoom in on pictures. Every Key types as it should and is in nice vintage condition. I see some typewriter eraser ( At lease that is what my guess it) debris. The ribbon is newer but might be drying out.
