French Antique AT doll Thuillier by Famous Artist Gerald La Motte One of a kind - $160 - (Aurora, OH)
Beautiful reproduction AT antique doll made and signed by famous doll artist, Gerald La Motte. The doll is approximately 18 inches and in her original costume which includes an underslip. There is a small smudge on the front of her taffeta dress. This can be easily cleaned. This doll was made in 1981. She is from mypersonal collection. She has a jointed body in excellent condition. The stringing of her arms need to be tightened a bit. Her wig is labeled and was made in France. There are no chips or cracks.Her eyes are brown. She has pierced ears. She is clean and comes from a non-smoking home. She is truly a wonderfuldoll and her costume is magnificent. Porcelain Doll by Gerald La Motte: Molded and painted features and details: signed G. La Motte 1981. According to the United Federation of Doll Clubs (UFDC),Notable doll artist Gerald LaMotte created dolls and limited Teddy Bears in the 1950s and later. Each doll was a work of art. He did not duplicate his designs, but rather chose to make one-of-a-kind dolls. And he would buy original antique dolls, make a mold, produce a limited amount of the dolls from the mold, then break the molds. His work is outstanding.
