For sale is a ?SCWPM# 53 1945 100 LIVRES LEBANIN BANQUE DE SYRIE ET DU LIBAN PCGS VF-30?. The masterfully engraved, multi-colored face design is still vibrant. On back, a cedar tree atop a hillside flanks an open area of the design to prominently feature the watermark of a bull. Early high denomination notes from Lebanon are scarce and in almost every instance, save for proof and specimen notes, are listed without pricing information in The Standard Catalog of World Paper Money. Though this "Magic Carpet" note has had a single punch through the watermark area, whoever did it picked the optimal place, sparing the design and the watermark, and did so when the note still retained its optimal vibrance.
