Not only are these certificates rare (I don't know if any other uncanceled ones still exist or not; I haven't found any others online), these three stock certificates are sequentially numbered, #227, #228, & #229. The Shower Consolidated Gold & Silver Mining Company was incorporated May 21, 1885 in Utah. Capitalized at $2,000,000. Mines located in Diamond, Utah and Tintic, Utah. The Stock Certificate was issued in Salt Lake City, Utah (I assume that's where the headquarters was?). All certificates are made to Irvine Mason (?) and are dated January 21, 1899. The secretary is W. O. Lake. The President is M. S. Walker. -Certificate #227 is 100 Shares at $5 per share; investing $500. -Certificate #228 is 300 Shares at $5 per share; investing $1500. -Certificate #229 is 100 Shares at $5 per share; investing $500.Mr. Mason invested $2,500 in this company.
