Antique schoolmaster desk on black metal stand - $1,500 - (Travelers Rest, SC)

Very impressive large Schoolmaster desk on black sturdy metal stand . Desk is in fine shape for its age and is fully operative. We used it as a hostess stand in our restaurant and now in kitchen as desk and storage. Not sure what kind of wood it is but I don't think its pine and I know it's not oak.
