A Very Beautiful Griswold #8 Tite-Top Dutch Oven and Lid...Black Cast Iron. This Dutch Oven has been thoroughly cleaned (electrolysis) back to the original bare black iron using NO harsh chemicals or abrasives. This Dutch Oven has been seasoned in an oven with canola oil....a 3 step process. You can start using or display this Dutch Oven right out of the box. Absolutely NO further cleaning necessary....or possible. Dutch oven has NO chips, NO cracks, NO rust and NO pitting. It sets flat on a hard flat surface....tested on plate glass. The cooking surface is very smooth with little to no evidence of prior usage.....polishing marks still visible. This dutch oven is close to the condition it left the foundry. The black color is the results of seasoning ONLY...NO oils or greases have have been applied, after seasoning, to enhance photos or mask flaws. Item will be securely packaged and heavily padded for shipment.
