Our owner acquired this coin after he returned home from a vacation trip which included Venice, and he is reluctantly parting with the coin.There are few easily discernable contact marks from other coins or handling by bankers, and the coin is exceptionally well produced for a coin which is now ~ 648 years old. The Obverse is a representation of Saint Mark, the Patron Saint of Venice, standing, and the representation of the Doge of Venice kneeling for Benediction. The Reverse bears an image of Christ with a hand raised in Benediction.
