Pioneer RT-707, extensive service by Master Technician - $795 - (Honeoye Falls, NY)

For your consideration - a remarkable sounding Pioneer RT-707 Reel to Reel deck. FULLY serviced by a master technician. Unlike most of the listed RT-7070’s on eBay - this deck has had extensive work was done, well beyond (but including) belt changes. It is ready for the next 25 years without brining in a skilled technician. Its ready as-is! Electrical Work Performed: The deck was ‘recaped' and the pre-amp board was rebuilt. All critical capacitors (over 75 of them) were replaced. All c1344 transistors were replaced. The only remaining originals are the oiled filled run capacitors and larger double seal capacitors. These rarely fail due to double seal. All lights, pots and switches work properly. They operate silently & smoothly. LED's are installed for direction lights. Mechanical Work Performed: The transport was rebuilt, cleaned and lubricated. Updates include the use of Mobile DTE for roller bearings and Mobile DTE 11M for motors. The counter belt was replaced. All of the functions and recording features are 100%. Features: 4 TRACK PLAYBACK 4 TRACK RECORDING 2 CHANNELS 2 AC REEL MOTOR'S AND 1 AC CAPSTAN MOTOR DIRECT DRIVE 3 3/4 IPS AND 7 1/2 IPS SPEEDS Unit weight is 45 lbs.
