Early 20th century, Paminggir people,Lampung Sumatra, woman's ceremonial skirt. Pristine condition, no flaws, odours, or blemishes. Hand spun cotton, natural dyes, gold thread, metallic disks, couched embroidery, appliqué, sequins, warp ikat.  Anthropomorphic figures representing mythic stories.  43" X 46"   This museum quality textile comes from a smoke/pet free collection, never folded and always kept on a a roller with acid free textile paper.
