For sale in good condition is a pair of Homemade mono blocks amplifiers, big amps very heavy 45 lbs each. Look at one of them in one of the pictures next to a Dynaco st-70 and a Bogen MO-100A. The amps will come with TUBES 2xKT88 and 2x6sn7 good tubes. However you are free to experiment with other tubes such as 6Em7, 6bl7, 6sl7 and others you can think of. These amps Just need matched pairs of output tubes KT120 or kt88 no matched quad is mandatory. It can even run the kt150 tubes with no problem. The Power Transformer was NOS vintage US made whose 6.3v filament can handle 6.5A, the 5volts 3A the secondary HV 0.250A. The output transformers with 5K primary winding and 4,8,and 16ohms output that you can connect or disconnect according to your own needs to the speaker binding posts or wired to the back selector. These were made in Hongkong per our specifications and can handle up to 125w with ease. The coupling Caps in the driver section are Heavy duty 630v FT-3 teflon and k40y-9 paper oil in output section. Resistors are 0.5w, 1w and 2w stackpole, Dale 10w and Allen Bradley. In the picture we can see that these amps were built intentionally with Paper oil mainly in the power supply which also use a 10 Henry choke. Variable input allows for high gain preamplifiers in order to diminish noise and hum. So you can expect relatively quiet listening. The chassis is beautifully made with solid aluminum with a taint of gold at the factory. The binding posts are bigger than we usually see on other amps. There are many other details can could be said meanwhile these units will produce a lot of pleasure and performed well for the times I have used them. They are able reproduce whatever quality recording you connect to its input. Here we have a high quality combination of every part used therein, which one only builds for himself.
