Fully carved bass - $5,800 - (Hartford, CT)

Unlabeled (possibly German) upright bass, believed to be from the mid 1800's up for sale. Large 3/4 sized bass with 41" string length. This is one of the most comfortable basses I've ever played with easy acces to thumb position and a big, open, warm, rich sound in all registers with an active response. Great bass for all applications classical, chamber, solo or jazz. Purchased in Uruguay almost 5 years ago where it was used in the national symphony for more then 30+ years. Asking $5,800
