For sale is a vintage 4/4 full sized Conservatory Grand violin! Beautiful flame maple throughout the back and neck. Comes with case (possibly the original) and 2 bows (1 could possibly be the original, both need to be re-strung). Made in Germany (based on research of violins from this era marked as "Conservatory"), not too far away from a full restore. Needs to be set up and tuned by a professional. Well used but in great overall shape. Cosmetic wear and tear is expected for a 100+ year old instrument. No body cracks or evidence of previous repairs in the body or neck. Previous owner lightly etched their name in the back of the violin, lightly enough to be polished out with the proper tools. New strings and new bridge added in November 2016. Markings on the violin include: - "Conservatory Grand" on the back of the headstock- "Antonious Stradivarius Cremonesis Faciebat Anno 17" appears on the label- Small circle with a cross and the letters "AS" appear on the label as well Free shipping with insurance!
