Vintage Hand-Stitched Hand Quilted Old Fashioned School House Quilt -Ships Free - $499 - (Huntsville, AR)

I am listing this vintage quilt for a friend who owns this quilt. It was hand made by his older sister in the Ozark Hills of Northwest Arkansas. She is currently 94 years old. He estimates she made the quilt in the 1950's - 1960's. It is very finely crafted. It appears to be all hand stitched with the exception of the outside binding which looks like a machine stitch. It has been gently used. I washed it in cold water, and dried on low setting in dryer, so it is freshly cleaned. The individual small blocks measure about 2-1/4" x 2-1/4". The predominate small blocks are a cream color fabric with a subtle star/crescent moon pattern. Several old fashioned scrap fabrics are included such as many various flower patterns and tiny white hearts on a blue background. The quilt measures about 71" x 88". It is pictured on a queen size bed. There are a few small stains that appear to be like a drop of coffee. I counted about 5 such spots mainly located on the front, bottom right, close together. I have tried to capture one of the spots in the listing photo. It is barely noticeable. Also on the back side, bottom right corner a very faint old stain that is barely noticeable. I found one spot where about 3 stitches are pulled apart, would be a quick fix with a needle and thread. No other noticeable wear.
