Vintage Homestead double bit axe 3lbs. 14oz. no handle - $32 - (Columbia Falls, MT)

This auction is for a used Vintage homestead double bit axe with no handle Marking on the axe: HOMESTEAD 10" in length, 4 5/8" ax head blades weight: 3 lbs. - 14 oz. Blade hasn't been sharpened in a long time. There are large nicks or chips out of the blades from lack of care I did a moderate clean with a wire bush to see if there were cracks or breaks to the axe. I did not find any breaks or cracks. Surface rust and heavy pitting and darken area to the axe do to care and use Edges are rounded or nicked due to use. Please look closely to the pictures to see any defects to the tool. This was purchased at a estate sale logging, camping or splitting axe. I have not attempted to polished, oil or clean this item. I have found no cracks, breaks or mends to the axe .
