Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Offered is the vintage book "Hammond's New Supreme Illustrated Atlas of the World", published in New York by the Garden City Publishing Co. The book's title page has a 1939 date, with most of the maps showing the world on the brink of World War II, including an enlarged Germany after the Anschluss, but there are several supplemental maps that show the extent of Axis occupation of parts of Europe up through mid-1941. Inside, things are better. There is no cracking inside either the front or back covers. The white endpapers are slightly soiled; the name of a previous owner is written inside the front cover. I see no missing or torn pages and all of the pages are well-attached to the binding. The pages are slightly yellowed and some of the maps have light foxing but most are clear. I see no writing in the book other than the name already mentioned and …
