George Washington Inaugural Button, Eagle and Star Type, 72 edge indents - $1,799 - (Millinocket, ME)

I have for sale a George Washington Inaugural Button. It is the eagle and star type and has 72 indentations around the edge. The shank on the back is intact. It is 34.5 millimeters in diameter. I had professional photos done in black and white, which show it as clearly as possible. The last photo better shows the true color. Also, I have added three more photos taken with a different camera. This was dug up in my yard and shows obvious porosity due to the environmental conditions. It has never been cleaned but has been conserved with oil. This is an R6 or R7 according to Albert's Button book, which is rare. Keep in mind that this is an as is no returns auction.
