RICOH RH5500 SCSI Optical Disk Drive 50MB w/ Cartridge For sale is a Ricoh RH5500 removable cartridge mechanism. This is a unique optical drive that is still used today in the United States military and the telecommunications industry for mass data storage, etc. This particular unit is a Ricoh RH5500, the drive itself is in a generic Univation SCSI enclosure. This specific drive was used in alongside an Amiga 2000 computer as a storage medium for backups, etc. Unfortunately, I have no way to test this item, and am not sure whether or not it is in working condition.
